Melanie and her daughter Miranda stopped in Paris on their way home from Christmas. What a treat! We got to take pictures and have dinner at Chili's together.

It is so heartwarming to spend time with a mother and her teenaged daughter who enjoy being with one another.

Kayla for Christmas Orthodontist Contest

Kayla's orthodontist is having a contest this year for a creative photo. So, we did a little photo shoot for Kayla. It was great fun and I think we came out with some great pictures. I don't know if she will win but she'll get some pictures for Christmas from me!

This is my son, Eric and his beautiful girlfriend, Heather. Heather is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. They allowed me to take some pictures of them while they were home for Christmas.

Megan's Child Kason

I had such fun taking picture of Megan's little boy, Kason last week. He was such a good baby and so interested in everything that was going on around him.

Megan was in my first semester class of photography at Texas A&M Commerce last Spring semester.

Central Park on the eve of Thanksgiving

The Twin Towers are four famous twin towered luxury apartment buildings lining Central Park West. One of them, The San Remo (145 Central Park West), was designed by Emery Roth and is a much sought-after residence whose tenants have included Dustin Hoffman and Diane Keaton (though Madonna was rejected). Roth also designed the Eldorado at 300 Central Park West, which was the address of Marilyn Monroe and Groucho Marx once. Art Deco architect, Irwin S. Chanin.

Beautiful Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspsension bridges in the United States. It was completed in 1883.

These pictures are taken from the spot where Robert Fulton operated his steam ferry in the early 1800's.

This is also near the site of the print shop in which Walt Whitman in 1855 set up type for his Leaves of Grass.

While I was taking pictures of the bridge I started watching the other tourists taking pictures and began taking pictures of tourists taking pictures!

The buildings across the water are in downtown Manhattan.

Sights to and from the subway

The Williamsburg area borders Greenpoint, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Bushwick in Brooklyn, New York.

Many of the guidebooks describe the area as a magnet for young people moving to the big city.

Williamsburg is viewed as both a haven for established immigrant families and as an area of artists.

These are mostly shots taken going to and from the subway or bus stops. Being fat and over 50 took its toll on me walking all over Long Island. But if you need someone to tell you how to ride the rails in NY, I'm your girl!
