Portrait of local author

Skipper Steely

It was both fun and an honor to get to take pictures of local author, Skipper Steely. His lastest book, "Pearl Harbor Countdown" can be purchased at Amazon.com.

These pictures were taken at the PJC studio during photography class with Marvin Gorley. I am hoping that Skipper will also allow me to do some natural lighting pictures of him at my office.

  1. Ginger, my favorites of Skipper would be the first photo and the one of him in the cap. The top one looks more formal, while the other is more "down-to-earth." In the bottom photo, (sorry) he looks old and tired - something about the lighting and skin tone, perhaps? But I love the lighting on the top pic - where there is a bit of shadow on the side of his face. That looks great.
